Students from Peshawar Designed a Solar Powered Electric Car

Students from CECOS University of Information Technology and Emerging Sciences have designed a solar-powered electric car which can run at the speed of 80 km per hour. Solar panels on the top of this car would provide energy to the four batteries that are installed in the car. Batteries then run the DC motor that would rotate the wheels using mechanical gearing system.

Additionally, a plug-in charging port has also been installed in this car in order to charge the car through electricity. On full charging, this car can run for approximately 25 minutes, however with additionally batteries and panels this limitation can be improved. Furthermore, some features of this car have also been integrated with Android App such as adjusting the solar panels, rolling down the windows etc.
